AmeriKKKa Puts Africa in Its Cross Hairs
By Junious Ricardo Stanton

Little noticed among the Pentagon's
plans to radically reshape the U.S. military presence
overseas is the groundbreaking possibility of basing
thousands of American troops in or around West Africa.
Under discussion: everything from positioning a U.S.
aircraft carrier battle group off Africa's vast west
coast to establishing one or more forward operating
bases in Ghana, Senegal, Mali, Equatorial Guinea or the
tiny island nation of Sao Tome and Principe. The spurs
for what may prove an unprecedented U.S. military
beachhead in sub-Saharan Africa are the region's
instability, potential attractiveness to terrorists and,
most pivotal, its rich oil resources, Pentagon officials
and Africa experts say. As much as 15 percent of
America's oil now comes from West Africa - about the
amount imported from Saudi Arabia. By next year, the
West African portion is expected to jump to 20 percent.-

African-centered psychologist Dr. Amos
Wilson stated quite succinctly, "For the European to rule
the world as he does today, or at least intimidate it as he
does, contradictions must be a chronic part of the lives on
non-European people . . . as well as that of the European. The
imperialistic European must essentially function in a very
devilish fashion. That is, in a fashion that uses deception as
its major characteristic. Consequently, fundamental values and
ways of seeing reality must be reversed. The good must appear to
be bad, the light dark. Truth must be taken for the lie; the lie
for truth. Otherwise a small group such as European people,
could not continue to keep the rest of the world out of its
mind."
Wilson's analysis serves us well as current
events unfold. Here we have George AWOL Bush going to Africa
telling the world he is there for humanitarian purposes,
offering money to alleviate the plague of AIDS (that Euro-AmeriKKKans
created) ravaging the continent and to find ways to bring peace
to troubled West Africa nations such as Liberia.
This is a classic example of what Dr.
Wilson referred to as "functioning in a devilish fashion,"
using deceit and deception as its major characteristic. How can
a man who executed more prisoners than any sitting governor in
AmeriKKKa, who is part of a movement to reinstate racial
oppression and redesign government to benefit the rich, a man
who sits as the unelected president of the most powerful nation
on the globe, who has lied and used his lies to wage unilateral
and imperialistic military invasions of weak, defenseless nation
go to Africa and tell them he comes in the name of democracy,
peace and humanitarianism?
Thinking people of the world know Bush is a
fraud and a hypocrite. Nevertheless, as Dr. Wilson keenly points
out, the European MO is to lie, misrepresent themselves in order
to seize what they want, which in the case of Africa are its
abundant natural resources such as oil, diamonds, uranium, gold,
manganese etc.
Bush could care less about humanity be they
Africans, Asians, or even poor whites. His primary focus is god,
(gold, oil and drugs). If Bush were a such humanitarian he would
not have unleashed the dogs of war on the Afghani and Iraqi
people. He never would have lied to the AmeriKKKan people and
sicced the US military on them to topple their governments and
set up US protectorates and colonies.
George W. Bush fancies himself emperor of
an increasingly belligerent AmeriKKKan empire. If his lies don't
prove to be his undoing, Bush will continue his Cabal's grab for
the world's resources under the guise of fighting terrorism,
bringing "stability" and "humanitarian aid"
to his victims and targets. This is nothing new, this is how
European imperialists operate. As Dr. Wilson said, "truth
must be taken for the lie; the lie for truth."
Bush is in Africa setting up a beachhead
for imperialist forces to control sub-Saharan oil and to scope
out their other natural resources. Bush, Cheney, et al have put
Africa in their cross hairs. They covet the oil and natural
resources on the continent. West Africa will play a major role
in their goal to control the world's oil supply; countries like
Nigeria, Congo-Brazzaville, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivore, Guinea, the
Democartic Republic of Congo, Angola in the South and Somalia
and Sudan in the East have proven reserves of crude oil in the
millions and billions of barrels range.
Like a rabid, ravaging wolf in sheep's
cloth Bush went to Africa, misrepresenting himself and his
intentions, sniffing out the oil and figuring how he can get his
fangs into it. Look for future deals to be announced with
promises of increased US aid, where US troops come into Africa
under the pretext of trade expansion, protection, "peace
keeping" or stopping terrorism.
Once in, like the proverbial camel that
sticks his head in the tent, AmeriKKKa will put African into an
even tighter colonialist death grip in an attempt to squeeze the
life and riches out of it.

Super Rich: A Guide to Having it All
By Russell Simmons
Russell Simmons knows firsthand that
wealth is rooted in much more than the
stock
market. True wealth has more to do with
what's in your heart than what's in your
wallet. Using this knowledge, Simmons
became one of America's shrewdest
entrepreneurs, achieving a level of
success that most investors only dream
about. No matter how much material gain
he accumulated, he never stopped lending
a hand to those less fortunate. In
Super Rich, Simmons uses his rare
blend of spiritual savvy and
street-smart wisdom to offer a new
definition of wealth-and share timeless
principles for developing an unshakable
sense of self that can weather any
financial storm. As Simmons says, "Happy
can make you money, but money can't make
you happy." |

The New Jim Crow
Mass Incarceration in the Age of
Colorblindness
By Michele Alexander
Contrary to the
rosy picture of race embodied in Barack
Obama's political success and Oprah
Winfrey's financial success, legal
scholar Alexander argues vigorously and
persuasively that [w]e have not ended
racial caste in America; we have merely
redesigned it. Jim Crow and legal racial
segregation has been replaced by mass
incarceration as a system of social
control (More African Americans are
under correctional control today... than
were enslaved in 1850). Alexander
reviews American racial history from the
colonies to the Clinton administration,
delineating its transformation into the
war on drugs. She offers an acute
analysis of the effect of this mass
incarceration upon former inmates who
will be discriminated against, legally,
for the rest of their lives, denied
employment, housing, education, and
public benefits. Most provocatively, she
reveals how both the move toward
colorblindness and affirmative action
may blur our vision of injustice: most
Americans know and don't know the truth
about mass incarceration—but her
carefully researched, deeply engaging,
and thoroughly readable book should
change that.—Publishers
