Can you bring out the feminine one deep inside

forever running, crying always trying to hide?

Black Man Where Do You Stand?

By Chandra D. Lewis

Black man! Strong but few.

Black man! Where are you?

Black man! Momma raised, loved and molded

Teaching, protecting, from the depth of her soul.

Black Man! She showed you her Queen so you'll know

what it is that I must bring, forgiveness, understanding,

unconditional love and all those special things.

Can you bring out the feminine one deep inside

forever running, crying always trying to hide?

Black man! will I bear the seed that bring our family tree?

God's gift of life for this love is truly free.

Black man! your backbone like the palm tree.

Strong, tall, yet bending able to handle anything.

Can I trust and believe that you'll bring us through,

Our lows, our highs and all those stormy rides?

Where is the king who should have been there

showing his son he really does care?

Black man! Must take it all in one stride

because truly I am your mother's eyes.

Black Man!!!

Chandra D. Lewis, a native of Baltimore, is the daughter of Charlie "Nature Boy" Lewis. She is an African-American queen who survived the towers of Murphy Homes, Gilmore Homes, and more. After a number of addictions, she found a new life, giving back to the community what was once stolen. Chandra has a voice of a song bird, generosity, a love for life untouchable, a heart as big as an ocean, a belief in God that all things are possible.
