Reconstruction #7

A
brother came to the group who'd spent 23 years in the USAF,
decorated during Vietnam, later worked for the California
Department of Corrections, but after all this outstanding
service, discovered he was nothing but a nigguh, which he
essentially defined as a cog, a worthless human being, trash to
be discarded at the whim of his master. Upon discovering he was
nothing but a nigguh, he wanted to kill, to take his 9 m pistol
and hurt somebody, but instead he wrote a book and the book
saved his life and saved him from destroying somebody else,
probably the real nigguh called master. I quoted him the line
from Baraka's Dutchman, "If Bessie Smith had killed some
white people, she wouldn't have needed to sing the blues."
The topic turned to children and education. How and when will we
educate our children like the Jews and Chinese educate theirs.
Even when our children attend the best Eurocentric schools, they
are cultural aliens in need of a foundation in an Afrocentric
view of life. Dr. Hare noted that the old school house model is
an obvious failure, that teachers need to go home with students
to educate parents. I've long maintained parents are in dire
need of education, more so than the students because so many
parents are so ignorant they undo any knowledge the child gains
during his/her school day.
A father was upset because his son questioned his need to remain
in a class he'd already mastered, but the child was told to
remain quiet, thus denying the child's attempt to think. Of course, we know American education is not designed for
thinkers, but to create individuals who will become cogs in the
wheel of capitalism and imperialism, to become niggers as the
man discovered above, and we must know niggers can be white and
black, even Asian and Latin, the hip hop generation has taught
us.
A brother talked about his two sons in prison, both for drug
related crimes, including a homicide. He told how crushing this
was for him, especially since his sons had been raised as middle
class blacks, were well educated and had knowledge of Islam, but
had chosen the criminal life. He mentioned how many times he had
worked to get his sons out of the criminal justice system, how
close he was to them, and that he would fight to free them if
they returned to prison a million times, but it was stressing
him out and he had come to the conclusion to let go and let God.
As he talked, I said nothing, but I thought about the fact that
I've lost two sons: one physically dead to suicide and the other
spiritually dead due to messianic religiosity and hypocrisy. The
father with the imprisoned sons blamed America's drug culture,
but I say it is the culture of America in general that steals
our children, but the sad truth is that we only half heartedly
prepare them for the battlefield, as one brother noted how he
was told at the age of eleven how to behave if stopped by the
police, but the police are only one aspect of life in the
hood.
How
many children lose their lives because they refuse to do what
Jesus said: that sometimes it is better to give up your coat and
your cloak. The truth is that we live in a war zone but do not
put on the armor of God, rather we send our children into the
streets butt naked, then wonder why they come home molested, if
they make it home at all.
