Brown
Lorrelei
By Marcus
B. Christian
A
woman the shade of cafe au lait
Passed
me by one night;
With
her black hair filled with the lights of day
And
her walk a man's delight.
The
raindrops nestled in her raven hair
Like
dew deep in grass;
Her
dark eyes seared me with one burning stare --
And
I saw her pass
Like
something from earth and sun and rain,
Vibrant
and strong;
And in
light-shadowed spots oft and again
She
hummed a song.
