Little Black child

born addicted to crack

She grows up to receive

many scars on her back

Her mother's out all night

chasing small stones

The little girl is alone

cause momma done lost her way home

But now she's grown

still a teenager search for love

Without a shoulder to lean on

she finds hope in drugs

Pumping heroin in her veins

the poison numbers the brain

Another DOA case

this world has driven insane

It didn't have to happen

but no one seemed to care

How can we be considered equals

when, to some, life is so unfair?
