Confusion is his name / his dying wish to make me vain

Revelations

By Latorial Faison

Running rampant is he
     contaminating the mainstream
infesting bloodlines over time
     singing praises to me.

Confusion is his name
his dying wish to make me vain
and prophesy that beauty is a blessing
     adding fuel to the flame.

Recruits me in the valley still
with bands of angels dressed to kill
wearing lying lips and halos of hell
     mendacity is his goodwill.

But true beauty descends as paradigm
in balms, blessings and Sabbath wine
to prepare fallen feet for journeys
of miracles and revelations over time.
