On Race
Training:
December
10, 1943
The
man [Christian] was thinking, as he nearly always did, turning
over and over in his mind, one thought after another, like a cow
chewing a cud. Maybe some day men would be trained
consciously--not by an unconscious process as the best of them
were now done, but by a day-by-day do-this, do-that, eat-this,
eat-that, until they would begin to know their own
potentialities. Not a race of yes-men, nor a race of imbeciles
open to anyone's command, but let conscious training of self be
one of the cardinal points of such a program, and the results in a few years would be fantastic and
unbelievable.
