She was a person that was funny, quick witted, creative, generous, smart, curious, reprimanding, patient and most of all,

loving. After a persons' visit all that's left are memories. The type of visitors we appreciate most are ones that leave us

a little gift. Malvina left a little piece of her spirit with all of her family and friends.

MY MOM, MRS. MALVINA P. TURK 1918 – 2006

Her passing was on December 23.

Addressed to Family and Friends on the Day of Her Celebration

We are here to celebrate a visit. Her visit was 88 years. What was so unique about this visit was how unique and beautiful Malvina Turk was. It's easy to think about my mother and think about compassion, easy to think about her and think about someone being a devout Catholic, a Godly person. Easy to think about her and think about honesty, integrity, kindness, wisdom. She was a person that was funny, quick witted, creative, generous, smart, curious, reprimanding, patient and most of all, loving. After a persons' visit all that's left are memories. The type of visitors we appreciate most are ones that leave us a little gift. Malvina left a little piece of her spirit with all of her family and friends. We celebrate her wonderful life and ask that The Most High bless her spirit eternally.  ——Yictove

Response

I remember your mom fondly. I felt very welcomed in her home and then you know she sent me copies of photos she had in her scrap book of Haile Selassie in New Orleans and didn't ask for a dime. It was indeed tragic the destruction of that home by Katrina and that she was never made whole again, dying far from her home. Again thanks for sharing with us the passing of a most wonderful woman.
