Somebody Been Stealing

                                                 By Rudolph Lewis

As I walk down Druid Hill I’m

dreaming about odors leftover

Her kiss perfuming my forehead

We all want Las Vegas, bright lights

& can’t get it. Blackness keeps moving

Our dreams get stalled in Beverly Hills

Click Clack. Spread your legs

Be still, silent, shut down—stop!

Look a deep hole in the ground

The poor don’t walk those streets

draped in yellow waves like dawn

War takes a toll in razors & babies

Good day, Rudy, I keep printing your poems and filling my folder. They are powerful, explosive, yet controlled, directed, finding their mark. thanks,  Fr. Paul Zilonka
